Pedestrian suffers serious injuries after collision in Prince George

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries following a collision that took place in Prince George on Monday.

According to police, just before 4 pm, officers heard of a motor vehicle collision involving a person at the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 16.

RCMP and emergency services attended the scene to find a 49-year-old man hurting. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Evidence from the scene and multiple witnesses indicated that the driver of the SUV involved was travelling west on Highway 16 on a green light when the incident occurred. A portion of the intersection was closed while officers gathered evidence.
