  • No more avoiding winter coats as Arctic air settles in Kelowna

It looks like winter’s just about arrived.

NowMedia meteorologist Wesla English said the chilly weather is only going to intensify in the coming days.

She warned readers: “If you haven’t dug out your winter coat yet, consider doing it this week!”

“With Arctic air settling into our valley over the next few days, it will only get colder,” she added.

“Daytime highs will stay below freezing through the rest of the work week, with overnight temperatures into the minus double digits.”

But it’s not quite all bad.

Wesla explained: “At least we will have sun in the mix!”

Today's high will be about -1ºC.
