  • Weekend need to KNow!: Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, 2019

    From charity runs and sports games, to craft markets and the biggest community events in the city, it is hard to be bored while being in Kelowna.

    If you’re looking for a way to make the most of your weekend, we are here to tell you about the notable events and activities coming to town.

    Summerland Festival of Lights

    For those of you looking to soak in some holiday cheer and a stunning spectacle, a trip to Summerland on Friday night will be well worth it!

    The 32nd annual festival will run from 5 pm until 9 pm in downtown Summerland and will feature local vendors, children’s activities, live music, an appearance from Santa, twinkling lights, fireworks and more.

    Be on Main Street for 7 pm on the dot to catch the magic of the light up and the dazzling fireworks display! Don’t forget to bundle up. 

    Craft Culture at Grizzli Winery

    For the first time ever, Craft Culture will be taking over West Kelowna with the addition of their Grizzli Winery Holiday Market this Saturday and Sunday.

    This market will bring attendees a weekend filled with live music, Okanagan wine and over 30 artisan vendors to shop from noon until 6 pm on day one and from 10 am to 4 pm on day two.

    LIVE WELL Exercise Clinic Open House

    Learn more about one of Kelowna’s newest fitness clinic’s this Saturday from noon until 2 pm.

    Far from your average gym, LIVE WELL provides personalized and supervised exercise programs to suit any and every individual. At the event, you will be able to take a tour of the clinic, meet the staff, enjoy refreshments and prizes as well as hear from the facility's CEO. 

    Kelowna Rockets Teddy Bear Toss

    Catch a high-intensity game this Saturday night at Prospera Place as the Kelowna Rockets take on the Prince George Cougars!

    Fans are asked to bring one or two stuffed bears to launch over the glass following the first Rockets goal of the game. The following day, players will hand-deliver the stuffed animals to patients in the KGH.

    Downtown Kelowna Light Up

    To officially kick off the holiday season, Downtown Kelowna will come to life with festive fun from 11 am until 6 pm this Sunday.

    Start your day on a high with free parking throughout the downtown core, expect everything from an artisan market equipped with warm drinks and food, photos with Santa, ice skating, live music and free parking! 

    At 6 pm sharp, gather around the massive tree for the countdown and watch it illuminate with sparkling lights.
