UPDATE: Driver injured after semi-rollover on BC Hwy 5 near Barriere

(UPDATE: 11:30 am) – BC Emergency Health Services has confirmed that one person was injured after a crash on BC Hwy 5 near Barriere this morning.

According to BC EHS, an ambulance was called north of Barriere for a semi-truck rollover.

Paramedics treated one patient at the scene before transporting them to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

(Original Story: 9:10 am) –Kamloops residents driving past Barriere no longer need to worry about a road closure.

According to Drive BC, the road was closed in both directions at 8 am due to a vehicle incident.

Residents can expect some delays and congestion as a result of the closure.
