Canada’s only queer wine festival is to set to take place over three days this week in Kelowna. 

Presented by the Kelowna Pride Society, Out in the Valley begins this Thursday, Nov. 21 and runs until Sunday, Nov. 24. 

The inclusive event is actually a series of events including the reception at Okanagan Spirits, hop-on-hop-off wine tours, food tours, a drag brunch and the return of the beloved Sugarplum Ball!

Hailed as the new festival’s signature event, the ball will be hosted at the Downtown Kelowna Library on Saturday, Nov. 23.

The library will be transformed into an enchanted forest fitting this year’s theme of “Fantasy and Fairytales” join Mayor Basran for a night of entertainment, drag and wine.

To close out a weekend of world-class wine and good times, enjoy a three-course brunch with bubbly at Summerhill Winery while being a part of interactive performances from some of the Okanagan’s fiercest drag queens.

In addition to the wine-related fun throughout the weekend, you can expect some tasty spirits, ciders and craft brews too. As well as a FruitCake afterparty at Sapphire on Friday, Nov. 21.
