Former Blazer to play for the Kelowna Rockets

If you can't beat them, join them!

That must be what the Kelowna Rockets were thinking when they added a former Kamloops Blazer to their roster on Friday. Kobe Mohr, who scored the game-winning goal against the Rockets in last year's playoff tie-breaker game, will fill in for the injured Kyle Topping.

Mohr has spent most of the season with the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Drumheller Dragons where he's scored six goals and 11 points in eight games.

The 20-year-old Llyod Minister product has played 248 career WHL games, splitting time between the Edmonton Oil Kings and Blazers. In 72 games with the Blazers, Mohr compiled 10 goals to go along with 30 points.

The former 20th overall selection from the 2014 Bantam Draft is set to make his debut for the Rockets against the Prince George Cougars.
