One person was sent to the hospital on Wednesday following a pedestrian-involved collision on Patricia Boulevard.
According to police, the incident occurred just before 6:45 pm after a vehicle hit a woman east of Victoria Street. Frontline officers attended to the woman after the collision with a Honda Civic.
The driver remained on the scene, but the woman was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
Investigators spoke to several witnesses and remained on scene gathering information for most of the night. The vehicle was seized and will be examined.
Police mentioned that the woman was wearing all black at the time of the incident and was trying to cross between intersections. Speed is not believed to be a factor, though it was raining heavily at the time of the crash.
