Woman killed after single-vehicle crash near Williams Lake

A woman was killed after a single-vehicle crash over the weekend near Williams Lake.

According to police, on Saturday at 3:38 am, Williams Lake RCMP and emergency personnel responded to the crash on Highway 20, approximately 15 kilometres west of the town.

Police found that a GMC pickup had left the roadway and rolled onto its roof. In addition to the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, four others were taken to the hospital with serious to critical injuries.

The investigation continues, though police believe alcohol may have been involved.
