  • 2 injured bikers saved by search and rescue team in 24 hours

    Two people were rescued on the west side of Okanagan Lake yesterday.

    The Central Okanagan Search and Rescue team said it had been a “busy 24 hours”.

    They first saved an injured dirt biker at Bear Creek around noon after being called for assistance by paramedics.

    Then, at 8.40 p.m., they went to Smith Creek to rescue an injured mountain biker.

    The team added: “And this morning we’re in front of the regional district thanking them for their support and explaining our future needs.”
