(UPDATE: 8:45 p.m.) – Drive BC reports that Highway 1, which was closed seven-kilometres east of Sicamous due to a vehicle incident, has been partially reopened to traffic. 

Traffic may commute through the area once again via single lane alternating traffic.

Residents travelling east should be aware that Hwy 1 is currently closed east of Sicamous. 

According to Drive BC, the closure happened due to a two-vehicle incident near Craigellachie. 

Kamscan mentioned that an air ambulance was called to the scene.

At this time, an assessment is in progress, but there is no estimated time of reopening.
