An event at one of Kelowna’s popular wineries wants to give you the full made locally experience.

There will be a local cook, local food, local wine, and even local talent. Anne Sarah Corribeau, an up and coming dancer, will be performing at the pop-up dinner.
You can enjoy some spanish tapas and endless 90s hip hop hits while taking in the live dance performance.
“I strongly feel Kelowna is in need of more culture, as well as more of a focus on inclusivity,” says Laura Milnes, organizer and founder of the event. “We get so distracted by how busy the tourist season is here that we forget to inject culture in our own communities. I hope my events will become a cornerstone for this focus over time.”

Milnes has a passion for everything that makes up the Okanagan culture. She founded the event The Ultimate Outdoor Fete, a four-course dinner party that helped local small businesses get some exposure for their work.
Silk + Coupe x The Hatch aims to do the same thing, and just like the past event, it will also benefit the community through charity.
Some of the funds raised for the The Ultimate Outdoor Fete went towards Les Dames d’Escoffier BC Chapter scholarship fund for women in the service industry.

This time, Milnes says she has chosen the Special Olympics as the charity for the pop-up event.
“I hold it dear to my heart as I used to coach the swim team here so I wanted to give back to an organization I hold in such high regard, if even in the smallest of ways,” she says.
The event starts at 7 p.m. at 3225 Boucherie Rd. Tickets are $50 per person, and are available here.
