  • 21 photos that prove wildfires won’t stop summer in Kelowna

For over a week, several wildfires in the Okanagan region have kept tourists and locals on edge as smoke drifts through the valley.

While wildfires have become an all too regular occurrence, summertime in the Okanagan will always be made for days on the beach, at a winery or in the mountains.

The region has also received a solid dose of that classic Okanagan dry-heat, and plenty of people have been outdoors soaking up the Vitamin D.

Here are just a few snaps from Instagram that prove life is more fun in the sun.

Don't forget to tag #kelownanow in your summer photos for a chance to win cool swag!
