The evacuation order for properties on Garnet Valley Road, located north of, and including Wildhorse Road, were officially rescinded Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. – with the exception of 35888 Garnet Valley Road which remains under evacuation order.
An evacuation alert will remain in effect until further notice.
District of Summerland is in the process of contacting affected property owners with this information.

The evacuation alert for properties on Garnet Valley Road, north of Jones Flat Road to Wildhorse Road, and for properties on Bridgeman Road have been rescinded.

On Sunday, a planned ignition took place between the Mount Eneas and Munroe Lake fires to control back-burning and remove the fuel on the steeper slopes, allowing crews to action the fire on flatter, safer ground. Back-burning continued Monday with a full ground crew, heavy equipment and air support.
The evacuation alerts for properties located on Bridgeman Road were also lifted Monday morning.
The situation is being actively monitored and further orders will be lifted as it is deemed safe, said the District of Summerland in a news release.
