  • Lightning strikes spotted across the Okanagan Valley

    As predicted, the Okanagan has been hit by a major thunderstorm this afternoon.

    Several lightning strikes have been spotted across the valley, along with heavy thunder and rain sweeping into region.

    Social media has already captured a couple stunning photos of the storm, including our cover photo courtesy of @lando.photos on Instagram.

    On Wednesday, lightning strikes in southern and central B.C. started more than 100 new wildfires and Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch across the region for this evening.
