A medical marijuana conference will take place in the Okanagan this fall as the country prepares for legalization.

Hosted by Kelowna-based clinic NGR Wellness Group, the conference will cover topics such as access and use of medical cannabis as well as benefits.

The conference is a two-day event that will include talks on the history of cannabis, which conditions it may benefit, intake methods and more. Attendees will also hear from established businesses regarding how to safely obtain cannabis, laws and legal use.

“Many of the people we work with are currently using medicinal cannabis without a clear and accurate understanding of usage”, said Mike Rowland of NRG Wellness Group.

The conference and workshop are taking place on September 29 and 30, at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.
