  • Ferrari struggles with Canadian geography ahead of this weekend’s race

The racing division of luxury automaker Ferrari was busy spinning its wheels on social media today.

Canadians called out Scuderia Ferrari after a promo video for this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix featured a major mix up.

The Grand Prix race is definitely in Montreal, however, the Italian company used footage of Toronto's skyline that clearly features the CN tower.

In tweet proclaiming “we are ready for Montréal!” Ferrari released a video full of interesting facts about Canada's second largest city as the camera flies across what is obviously Lake Ontario.

While the mistake is understandably baffling to Canadians, Ferrari should know better as well considering Montreal has hosted the Canadian Grand Prix for 40 years.

    It's a mistake that didn't go unnoticed:

Ferrari is in no hurry to fix the 'faux pas', as of this publication nine hours has passed and the post remains on the company's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
