(UPDATE: June 4 @ 6:05 a.m.) – Hwy 5 (the Coquihalla) has reopened following a vehicle incident.
The road was closed down around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Northbound lanes opened at 7:20 p.m., but southbound lanes didn't open up until around 11:30 p.m.
(Original story: June 3 @ 7:20 p.m.) – Hwy 5 (the Coquihalla) is closed southbound.
The closure is due to a vehicle incident about 20 kilometres east of Hope, according to DriveBC.
The northbound lanes were closed, but have since been reopened.
An assessment is in progress and DriveBC is now estimating that the road will reopen at midnight.
Hwy 1 or Hwy 3 are suggested as alternate routes.
