Long weekend looks sunny with a chance of rain

The long weekend is finally upon us!

Expect some major sun today and tomorrow.

Come Sunday, there is an increased risk of showers.

“High pressure will keep the sun shining in the B.C. Central Interior for the first day of the May long weekend. However a low will move up from the south by Saturday night, and we will see more cloud by late Saturday or Sunday with the potential for showers,” says Wesla Englsih, NowMedia meteorologist.

The weekend weather has the potential to increase the amount of flooding that is currently taking place at the Fraser River.

Evacuation alerts have already been issued to 18 properties along Farrell Street.
