If you’re getting married soon, you may want to consider not even leaving the Okanagan for your honeymoon.

This week, Expedia published its list of the top honeymoon destinations in the world and Vernon is one of many British Columbian and Canadian spots on the list.

The list gives each of the 18 honeymoon spots a rating for four pieces of criteria, which are scenery, romance level, how far your money goes and the activities you can try.

Unsurprisingly, Vernon got five out of five stars for adventure level, with four out of five stars for the region’s scenery.

When it came to romance and bang for your buck, however, it only got three of a possible five stars.

The writer of the story has obviously has had some good experiences in Canada, as 12 of the 18 destinations are Canadian, including four in B.C.

The other B.C. spots on the list are the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island and Kaslo.
