A casting call is happening on Sunday for a film that needs local actors from the Vernon area.

The movie, called The Recall, is looking for five major roles to be filled.

The first role is of a Russian cosmonaut.

In a Facebook post in the Okanagan Actors Alliance, Deborah Green said the cosmonaut should be someone Slavic-looking, preferably average height and weight between 50 and 55-years-old.

This person doesn’t need any acting ability, as he has no lines. The cosmonaut actor will be needed for one day in August.

The second character needed is a hunter double.

The hunter is the lead role in the film and they’re looking for his double. They're looking for an African-American man, about five-foot-nine, between the ages of 18 and 50.

For the third character, Green said they’re hoping to cast an alien.

“This is a hugely important role. The Alien needs to be tall, preferably six-foot-four or even taller and very fit, any age but must be fit and agile. The person cast will be costumed in a full body suit and prosthetic head and we need someone with the ability to move around easily.”

Once they cast the alien, they will also need to cast an alien double.

Another role that needs to be filled is a female scientist.

Producers are looking for a female between the ages of 25 and 35. This role has no lines, so no acting experience is needed.

The final role that is needed is a male scientist.

Producers are looking for a young Asian man, between the ages of 25 and 35. This role also doesn’t have many lines.
