If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select and why?
That’s a toss-up between David Suzuki and Dave Grohl. Dave Grohl because he is an incredible musician and all-around genuine human. And David Suzuki because he is the greatest environmental mind of our generation.
If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
Philip A. Novikoff Memorial Award.
If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
I know it’s kind of cliché, but probably Mahatma Gandhi. Life is about happiness, and in my opinion, nobody understood this better than Gandhi.
Who inspires you?
My team at Tourism Sun Peaks!
What are three things on your bucket list?
Complete an Ironman Triathlon, write a novel, volunteer in developing countries to assist with access to clean water and education.
If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
“It was all a dream”
If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
Possibly the day I die, to see if it could be avoided.
What are you passionate about?
Sharing my love for the outdoors with anyone who will listen.
What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
The day I was introduced to my niece, Maya.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Reaching the summit of Mt. Rainier!
Where is your favourite place to dine in Kamloops? What do you like about it?
The Noble Pig. I really like how they brew their own beer in-house.
What is your favourite activity or event in Kamloops? Why?
Mountain Biking. There are so many incredible trails and locations to ride in Kamloops, it truly is a mountain biking mecca.

What is your mission?
Our mission is to increase guest visits and business to Sun Peaks. Our environmental mission is to develop a working plan that will enhance our commitment to respect and responsibility to the natural environment which forms the foundation on which our businesses exist.
If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
To assist in establishing Sun Peaks as one of the premier four-season alpine destinations in North America.
Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
We want Sun Peaks to be recognized universally as being in the top two mountain resort destinations in Canada.
Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
Powder Matt Mosteller of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.
What three qualities do you feel that your business/organization exemplifies?
Ambition, integrity, and transparency.
What would you like to say to your employees/volunteers?
To my colleagues and to all of our volunteers I would say thank-you for your commitment to our community and TSP's organizational values. Our people and community is a big part of what makes Sun Peaks such a magical place to live/visit.
How does your business/organization impact the community?
By promoting the destination we are increasing visitation, which has a direct, positive impact on local businesses and the community as a whole.
If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
I would want them to be experts in media (television, radio, print, and online). I would talk to them about how the many stories and experiences at Sun Peaks would excite their viewers and users.
If I could change one thing about Kamloops, it would be:
Increased national recognition for its immediate proximity to exceptional trails and rivers
