The 69th Penticton Peach Festival just got a little more star-studded as an iconic Canadian group is on board to headline opening night.
Chilliwack will make their first-ever appearance at Peachfest on Wednesday, Aug. 3, on the Peters Bros. Main Stage in Okanagan Lake Park.
The legendary band charted 23 hit records in the 70’s and 80’s in Canada, seven which hit the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. Over the years, they recorded four platinum and two gold albums.

Longtime Chilliwack singer and songwriter Bill Henderson, who has been a part of the band from the start, won a Juno Award for production and was named as a Member of the Order of Canada.
Some of the band’s hits include My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone), I Believe, Lonesome Mary, Whatcha Gonna Do (When I’m Gone), Fly At Night, California Girl, Crazy Talk, Arms of Mary and Baby Blue.
Vancouver-based group, “The Phonix,” will be opening for Chilliwack.
All Peachfest concerts will have free admission.
