  • Pub Fight in Downtown Kelowna, A Patron Thrown Through Window

    A few pub-goers have been treated for injuries following a rowdy Thursday night in downtown Kelowna.

    On March 3rd, at around 10 p.m., the Kelowna RCMP responded to reports of a fight in progress inside Tonics Pub in the 1600 block of Ellis Street.

    Witnesses said chairs were flying, and that a person had been thrown into a window.

    Everyone who took part in the fight ran away before police arrived.

    Three of them reportedly left in a vehicle which was stopped by police on Harvey Avenue near Kischner Road.

    Two people who were in the vehicle, a 31-year-old Kelowna woman and a 23-year-old Kelowna man, were treated on the side of the road by Emergency Health Services for minor injuries.

    Police used witnesses and video surveillance footage and as many as five individuals were seen pushing and punching each other in the bar.

    According to Kelowna RCMP, charges are not being recommended at this time.
