You may have awoken to the rumble of motorcycles on Sunday morning if you live downtown or in Glenmore, as the annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was hosted at Motovida for its sophomore year.
A fundraiser for prostate cancer that was started in Australia, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a worldwide event that takes place on the same day every year.

No ordinary bike rally, you won’t see your typical studded black leather doused bikers here. Instead, you’ll see suits, ties and slicked-back do’s as these dapper chaps hit the highway.

Though the ride is still fresh to Kelowna, the numbers in attendance have grown significantly from 16 to over 40 riders this past year.

It may be promoted as an all-male ride and in support of prostate cancer but due to the number of female attendees, the event has adapted to include all types of cancers.
