As of Monday afternoon, wildfires had burned 188,000 hectars of land across B.C. and show little sign of slowing down.

It's a statistic that demonstrates the tough times residents of the province are currently facing.

But British Columbians are showing their strong spirit in many ways from helping out their neighbors to rescuing wildlife.
