Three years ago, a young boy named, Jarrett Benedict, decided to cut his hair in support of a friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
Fast forward to today and Benedict is shaving 18 inches of curly brown hair again for a second wig.

Back in 2014, when Benedict was only eight years old, he raised over $2,000 from his first head shaving.
Now, at 11 years-old, Benedict has been fundraising and collecting donations by going door to door in addition to setting up a booth at the McCurdy Car Show for his second donation.

The two will be fundraising throughout the summer. His long locks and the funds collected will then be given to the BC Children’s Hospital for both a wig and research.
"It's his summer project. In between camps he will be collecting donations until he goes back to school," said Angela Benedict, Benedict's mother.
