A vehicle incident was impacting northbound traffic earlier today.
The incident was reported around 10:30 am and cleared shortly before 2 pm.
Some delays should be expected as congestion clears.
(Original story: Dec. 24 @ 10:43 am) – Motorists are being advised it expected “major” delays on the highway north of Merritt.
A vehicle incident has blocked all northbound lanes.
DriveBC said the incident is just after the Highway 5A exit north of Merritt.
Drivers are being told to use Hwy 5A as an alternate route.
The next update from DriveBC is expected around 12:30 pm.
A picture shared to the Coquihalla Road Reports Facebook group shows a semi-truck that has gone off the road.
The picture shows emergency crews at the scene.
Driving conditions are treacherous on the Coquihalla on Wednesday with a travel advisory in place due to heavy snow.
