  • Coquihalla reopens after air ambulance halts traffic

    A vehicle incident was causing delays on Hwy 5 Saturday morning.

    The incident occurred near Mine Creek, about 12 kilometres north of the Coquihalla Summit.

    At first, just the northbound traffic was impacted and reduced to a single lane, but then an air ambulance was called in, closing both directions of traffic. 

    In the latest update from DriveBC, the highway is now open to both directions of traffic.

    Passing drivers are asked to continue to watch out for crews in the area.

    It is not clear how many vehicles or people were involved in the incident.
