  • UPDATE: Man last seen in downtown Kelowna has been found

    (UPDATE: Oct. 14 @ 5:00 pm) – The Kelowna RCMP have confirmed that a 36-year-old man reported missing earlier this month has been located and “is safe.”

    Cody Burns was reported missing on Oct. 2 but had not been seen since Sept. 26 before police were notified.

    “Thank you to the media and the public for assisting the police with the search and locating of this individual,” Cpl. Allison Konsmo.

    Now that he has been located, KelownaNow will be removing his picture to respect his privacy.


    (Original story: Oct. 7 @ 1:30 pm) – The Kelowna RCMP is turning to the public in hopes of tracking down a missing man.

    Cody Burns, 36, was reported missing to police on Thursday, Oct. 2.

    However, the RCMP says he has not been seen since Friday, Sept. 26, near the 200 block of Leon Avenue.

    According to police, there are “concerns for his health and well-being.”

    The following description of Burns was provided:

    • Indigenous male
    • Around 6’0” tall
    • Medium build
    • Dark brown hair
    • Brown eyes
    • Moustache and beard

    Anyone who sees Burns, or has information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and quote file 2025-59738.
