  • ZipZone Adventure Park evacuation order lifted as Peachland wildfire now under control

The Munro Lake FSR wildfire near Peachland is now under control.

As a result, the Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) has lifted the evacuation order for the ZipZone Adventure Park at 5875 Brenda Mines Rd.

All evacuation alerts were lifted last week after the fire was classified as held.

Although the fire is under control, the BC Wildfire Service still has personnel on site supporting fire suppression efforts and mop-up activities.

According to the EOC, the public may see smoke rising from areas within the fire’s perimeter over the coming weeks.

“This is generally not a cause of concern,” an EOC release explains.

There could also be new smoke rising from the site of a 40-hectare planned burn right next to where the Munro Lake FSR wildfire burned last month.
