We sat down with Mowgli himself to hear more about his rambunctious adventures and life as a man cub:

Q: What is the best thing Baloo ever taught you?

A: The Bare Necessities, of course, and “to forget about my worries and my strife.”

Q: If you had fur, would your man-cub coat have spots or stripes?

A: If I had fur my coat would have spots because I want to be like Bagheera! Although Bagheera is a black panther, he technically still has spots! You just need to look at him in the right light. I wouldn't want stripes and be like Shere Khan.

Q: How long did it take you to learn the laws of the jungle?

A: One of the most important lessons Bagheera and Baloo taught me was that the laws of the jungle are always changing depending on the circumstances so I am always learning!

Q: If you lived in a forest near Kamloops, what animal would you befriend?

A: I’d befriend a Grizzly bear named Muwin. Baloo told me about his cousin named Muwin who lives in B.C. He said the humans who lived in Canada thought  Muwin was a strong, honourable bear with magical powers but could sometimes be a bit slow in his mind. Baloo always told me if I were lost in Canada that Muwin would help me!

Q: What has been your greatest adventure?

A: There have been so many, but my greatest would have to be the time I met King Louie and was saved by Baloo and Bagheera. It was an important lesson for me to learn, and I’m so thankful that Baloo and Bagheera came to my rescue. I know now to never trust a monkey!

Q: What animal do you most respect and why?

A: I respect the wolves the most. Firstly because they gave me a family and home when no one else would. Secondly, I respect the values they hold dearly: loyalty, honour and respect for each other.

Q: If you could be any animal, what would you be?

A: I’d be an eagle so I could fly anywhere I wanted!

Q: What is the wisest thing Bagheera has ever said to you?

A: It's not the jungle that makes the man but the man who makes the jungle.

Q: What is your favourite thing to do in the jungle?

A: My favourite thing is to go swimming with Baloo, and sing!

Q: What is your greatest fear?

A: My greatest fear is one of my friends getting hurt because of something I did. I always try to respect the laws of the jungle! And Shere Kahn, of course!
