The Women’s March is coming to Victoria on Jan. 20.

This march is an attempt to acknowledge the traditional territory of the Coast and Straits Salish people.

This idea will be at the forefront of the march.

On this day, all across Canada, people will be gathering to reclaim solidarity and unify and empower all those who stand for human rights, civil right and social justice.

National participants will rally in cause of women’s healthcare, economic security, representations and safety.

Women’s organizations in Victoria are inviting everyone out to engage in timely conversation about women’s issues as well as practical tools for community organizing and lobbying in Victoria.

The march will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Hall.
