(UPDATE: September 4th @ 9:50 a.m.) – The BC Wildfire Service is reporting that the Kault Hill wildfire is 0.9 hectares in size and is 100% contained.
There are currently 11 firefighters on the scene. Crews are working on mopping up today, and fire investigation personnel are at the scene.
There is no confirmed cause of the fire at this time.
(UPDATE: September 3rd @ 2:12 p.m.) – The fire has now grown to 2 hectares in size. The BC Wildfire Service reports that it is burning in steep rocky terrain.
There are currently 10 firefighters and one helicopter at the scene. Air tankers and air skimmers have completed their objectives.

(UPDATE: September 3rd @ 11:28 a.m.) – The Kault Hill wildfire was reported mid-morning on Sunday, September 3rd. It is estimated at 0.2 hectares and according to BC Wildfire Service is burning approximately 6 kilometres northwest of Salmon Arm off the Trans Canada Highway.
There are currently seven personnel on scene with skimmers dropping water and air tankers dropping retardant.

BC Wildfire, along with DriveBC is reporting a brush fire on the side of the Trans Canada Highway in between Tappen and Salmon Arm.
DriveBC reports there may be delays.
