The West Kelowna Warriors started game three the same way they started game two, with a Cavin Tilsley goal, but the rest of the game couldn’t have been more different.

Tilsley put the home team up 1-0 just over six minutes into the game, giving the fans at Royal LePage Place something to cheer about.

That lead lasted until the second period, but Wenatchee Wild coach Bliss Littler must have given his boys a great intermission pep talk.

Wenatchee came out and scored four goals in the second period courtesy of P.J. Fletcher, Lucas Sowder, Murphy Stratton and Brandon Koch to take a commanding 4-1 lead.

Koch’s second of the game would extend that lead in the third before a Lucas Cullen powerplay marker would bring the Warriors back to within three.

But that’s as close as West Kelowna would come.

Josh Arnold’s first of the playoffs put the Wild up 6-2 and the team from south of the 49th parallel held on to win by that score.

Wenatchee is now up 2-1 in the series, which quickly resumes with game four at Royal LePage Place this evening.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. and fans can still grab tickets to take in all the action.
