Another day, another B.C. mountain that’s opening early.
On Tuesday, Whistler Mountain announced that it would be opening on Friday, November 17th, which is a week ahead of schedule.
This news is hot on the heels of Vancouver’s local mountains opening a week early as well.
To start the season, Whistler Village Gondola, Creekside Gondola, Big Red Express, Emerald Express and Franz’s Chair will all be running.
The mountain will surely be busy on Friday and into the weekend, but officials are warning skiers and snowboarders that it’s still early season conditions.
Single-day lift tickets, which will set you back $104 until December 9th, can be purchased through the Whistler Blackcomb website.
You can also still purchase season passes and edge cards for Whistler Blackcomb until November 19th.
