Grounding of Boeing 737 MAX airplanes is going to have an effect on travellers in the Okanagan.
WestJet has announced that it’ll be suspending flights between Kelowna and Toronto between June 3 and June 27.
"The continued grounding of the MAX aircraft has led us to take further steps to adjust our schedule,” says a statement from WestJet.
“We are dedicated to ensuring our guests have timely information to book and travel with confidence during this time.”

If you have a flight between Kelowna and Toronto booked for that time, the airline will be contacting you soon.
Travellers will be rebooked with a connecting flight through another city.
A timeline regarding the grounding of Boeing 737 MAX airplanes is still unknown, but WestJet says these “preemptive updates” to its schedule is to avoid any last-minute cancellations or disruptions.
