If you're like many other people in Kelowna, the weekend for you is all about enjoying the city at your own leisurely pace. With so much going on in our community, it can be hard to fit all the things you want to do into your busy schedule. KelownaNow is here to help!
Each weekend we'll compile a list of five or more things you need to know about. Whether it's community events, treats you have to try, killer sales or where to find some dance-worthy live music, we've got you covered on activities you need to KNow to make the most of your weekend.
Okanagan Eats
One of Kelowna’s favourite foodie events returns this weekend to the Kelowna Curling Club.
Taking place Friday and Saturday, Okanagan Eats is a great way to spend your weekend sipping and sampling the best creations from local culinary wizards. Tickets will be available for $15 at the door.
Law Day
This Saturday, Law Day returns to the Kelowna Courthouse. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. locals are invited to the courthouse to ask questions and learn more about the law, the legal professions and Canada’s legal institution.

Record store day
Attention music lovers! If you didn’t already know, it's national Record Store Day on Saturday. A day looked forward to by many, RSD brings with it unique and special vinyl releases from some of the most beloved musicians in the world. Kelowna is lucky to have three record stores and all of them are always a great place to spend time.
Sunrise Records
Sunrise Records in Orchard Park Mall will be participating by bringing in special RSD releases you’ll have a hard time finding any other day. They will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. this Saturday, but it's first come first serve on RSD releases, so get their early to have the best selection.
Milkcrate Records
Though this indie-shop isn’t participating in the official RSD sales, but they are doing their own thing! Patrons can expect great new releases, discounted deals on last year RSD specials and a loonie bin!
They will also be opening their doors earlier (TBD) than usual, giving you more time to shop!
Underground Music
Our second independently owned shop will be going all out this Saturday. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can swing by for some stellar deals on their usual vintage vinyl, CD’s.
You can also expect really exciting RSD gems, some of which you won’t find anywhere else in the city, from artists like Led Zeppelin, Wu-Tang Clan and many more.
In addition to the sales, the store will also be selling special edition Sheepdogs pins for $1 with all of the funds from pin sales going to support organization, MusiCounts.
