The West Kelowna Warriors scored the first goal of the game midway through the first period but couldn’t muster much offence from then on and suffered a 4-1 B.C. Hockey League loss at the hands of the host Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Saturday.
Defenceman Wyatt Head was the lone goalscorer for the Warriors, assisted by Willie Reim and Max Bulawka, who a night earlier scored three goals and added two assists respectively in a 5-3 win over the Silverbacks at Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna.

Noah Wakeford and Trevor Adams added Silverback goals in the third period to clinch the win and break the Warriors’ four-game winning streak.

He stopped 22 of 23 shots overall.
Brock Baier, who played 10 games with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League last season, gave up the four goals in 32 shots in his first game in the BCHL.

The Trail Smoke Eaters are one point back while four teams, including the Silverbacks, all have eight points.
The Warriors and Silverbacks meet again on Friday in Salmon Arm while the Warriors will play host to the Victoria Grizzlies on Sunday beginning at 2:30 p.m.
