Wyatt Head is going from the bottom to the top of the standings.

The West Kelowna Warriors, who sit dead last in the league with 21 points, have traded the 20-year-old defenceman to the Coquitlam Express, who lead the BCHL with 72 points.

In return, the Warriors receive defenceman Addison Macey and future considerations.

Macey, a 20-year-old from Ontario, has no goals and eight assists in 32 games so far in his first BCHL season.

Head played three seasons in West Kelowna before leaving the team at the start of this season to attend Quinnipiac University and play for the school’s hockey team.

Unfortunately, Head didn’t see the ice for the Bobcats and returned to the Warriors in December.

He picked up a goal and five assists in his short, seven-game stint with the team.
