Another first goal allowed led to the Warriors' ninth-straight loss, this time to the Surrey Eagles by a score of 2-1.
The Warriors' main focus was to get the first goal of the game. It didn’t help at all with the Warriors getting themselves in penalty trouble early.
After killing a pair of Eagles power plays, the Warriors would continue to receive pressure in their own zone. After a shot from the point was initially stopped by Johnny Derrick’s glove, the puck would drop in the crease allowing Wyatt Schaldt to tap in the empty net goal making it 1-0 Eagles after one period.
The Eagles would start the second period with more pressure in the Warriors end. Johnny Derrick was able to stand tall keeping it a one goal game making a couple fantastic stops through traffic.
The Warriors would find a way to tie it after John Evans was able to find Max Bulawka all alone in the crease beating Thomas Scarfone. It would be Bulawka would would score his third goal in as many games.

The Eagles would find a way to answer back late with a minute remaining in the second period. After a scramble near the Warriors crease, the puck would find it’s way to the top of the zone allowing the Eagles to fire a shot which would go off Kenny Riddett and in to make it 2-1 Eagles. It would be another late period goal which would turn the momentum in favor of the Eagles.
The Warriors would come out strong in the third with a pair of power play attempts, but after some failed puck movement the Eagles would kill both. The Warriors would get some quality chances in the final half of the period but Eagles goaltender Thomas Scarfone would stand tall yet again making a crucial save in the final minute to give the Eagles a 2-1 victory.
Final shots on goal: 44-25 in favour of the Eagles.
