VIDEO: Young cancer survivor rallies for blood donation

There was a time when Carter Milaney wasn't sure he'd see his 13th birthday.

Thanks to excellent cancer treatment, numerous blood transfusions, and a blood marrow transplant, he's now cancer-free. And today, he and his family are giving back by giving Canadian Blood Services a boost.

At age ten, Milaney was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. And there were times when treatment was delayed while waiting for blood.

Carter's mother, Marla Milaney said people need to know how important the blood supply is to people like her son. So they brought along friends and supporters to give blood and they encourage everyone to do the same.
