  • VIDEO: New Waterfront Visitor Centre is open

    Tourism Kelowna has re-positioned itself right where tourists tend to gather.

    A new $2.8M visitor centre is now open on the downtown waterfront just steps from the Sails at the foot of Bernard Avenue between Kerry Park and Stuart Park.

    The new location is aimed at increasing the profile for the centre which has seen visits dwindling at the old Harvey Avenue location.

    Tourism Kelowna's Board Chair Thom Kilingsworth calls it an incredible place to call home.

    "A strong visitor experience includes a well-positioned visitor information centre," said Killingsworth.

      CEO Lisanne Ballantyne told KelownaNow says the facilitly will help connect residents and visitors with the best the Okanagan Valley has to offer.
