June 21 marked a historic day for Canada after the Senate passed Bill C-45 effectively removing the 95-year prohibition on marijuana and legalizing cannabis in the nation.
Although the bill will not be active until October 17, the long-awaited announcement has been met with premature feelings of both excitement and concern.
KelownaNow took to the streets of downtown to determine how some of Kelowna’s residents felt about the decision to legalize cannabis and what Bill C-45 may bring to the city, the province and the nation.
