  • VIDEO: Dhaliwal the hero as Warriors knock off Wild in overtime

It was the Parm Dhaliwal show on Wednesday night.

The 20-year-old tied the game in the third period before winning it for the West Kelowna Warriors in overtime, tying their series with the Wenatchee Wild at two games apiece.

Connor Hopkins can also be thanked for the Warriors win on Wednesday, as he made 39 saves in the victory.

The only time Hopkins was beat was late in the first period by Wild captain Lucas Sowder, giving Wenatchee the 1-0 lead.

He would bounce back to make 10 saves in the middle frame and an impressive 18 stops in the third period, giving the Warriors a chance to win the game in overtime.

The game wouldn’t have gotten to overtime if it wasn’t for Dhaliwal’s first goal of the game, which came just over five minutes into the third.

After Chase Dubois held the puck in the attacking zone, he found Lucas Bahn who fired on towards the net.

Bahn’s shot hit Dhaliwal’s skate and deflected past Wild goalie Cal Sandquist to knot the game at one.

Up next for the two teams in game five in West Kelowna, which will take place at Royal LePage Place on Friday night.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
