When you watch the finished product of a movie or T.V. show, it’s tough to comprehend all the work and time that goes into it.

There are weeks of filming before an even longer post-production and editing process, but that doesn’t include all the distraction, hiccups and other issues that face the cast and crew.

This week, a heated exchange was caught on camera and it shows Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead on the hit T.V. series Riverdale, asking a local busker to stop playing for an hour so they could finish filming.

When the busker asks for compensation, Sprouse turns to the crowd and expresses his frustrations to them.

“Just in case you guys don’t know how this works, this is one of the secrets of film production,” he begins. “We give a location to the city and then some scam artists come out…”

That’s where he’s interrupted by the busker who says she plays in that spot, on the corner of Robson and Hornby Streets.

The exchange continues as Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty Cooper, and a number of fans look on.
 

“You can’t call me a scam artist, you guys came into where I perform,” the busker says.

She then calls Sprouse and Reinhart cheap and rude before the actors return towards the Art Gallery.

There’s no confirmation on whether the busker stopped or not, but online comments give the impression that she continued to play.

Under Vancouver busking laws, not only does the busker need a street entertainment permit to play that area, she's also prohibited from using voice amplification, which she clearly had.

The second season of Riverdale will begin to air in October.
