  • VIDEO: Chef Aman Dosanj’s next gastronomic event

For her second consecutive year, Aman Dosanj, is bringing back an all-female chef line-up to the Okanagan in support of International Women's Day.

This year's International Women's Day theme, #PressforProgress, is focused on cultivating a gender inclusive global society.

Dosanj stopped by the KelownaNow studio to talk about the event and share what's keeping her busy since the popular family restaurant, Poppadoms, closed in 2016.

On Thursday, March 8, Dosanj and her culinary team will unveil their edible talents at Tantalus Vineyard in Kelowna.

The all-female chef line up will prepare a 5-course gastronomic adventure and the funds raised will go towards Foundry Kelowna/Canadian Mental Health Association, Karis Support Society and Slow Food Canada.

Dosanj is bringing in Leah Massey (Biera, Edmonton), Erin Pickering (Nicole Gourmet, Calgary), Jinhee Lee (Foreign Concept, Calgary) and Tina Tang (Predator Ridge, Vernon).

Each chef will prepare one of the five courses with the 2018 International Women's Day #PressForProgress theme to guide their inspiration.

The wine pairings are being donated by the following Okanagan winemakers: David Paterson (Tantalus Vineyards), Penelope Roche (Roche Wines), Jacqueline Kemp (Moraine Winery), Severine Pinte (Le Vieux Pin).

Last year's event raised $7,710 with 39 guests. This year, there's room for 52 guests.

"We're excited to do a lot of good, one bite at a time. It's going to be a magical night," said  Dosanj .
