Mary Mandarino just didn't like the idea of Gord Milsom running unchallenged for Mayor. So she stepped-up. "People are saying to me 'Good for you Mary. We need change'" said Mandarino. The RV park operator and former school teacher has opposed Milsom before on the subject of a new civic centre.

Mandarino felt it was too big an expense for the time. And while she shares many of Milsom's goals for infrastructure, she said she would be more cautious about future development if she were to be elected.
