  • Victim on life support following an aggravated assault

    On Saturday, May 5 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Prince George RCMP received a request from paramedics of a possible assault at a residence on the 2100 block of Upland Street.

    Officers attended the scene and found an adult male suffering from what appeared to be serious injuries and was immediately sent to the hospital.

    RCMP are classifying this investigation as an aggravated assault investigation.

    The investigation led officers to locate and arrest a 30-year-old Prince George man believed to be responsible for the incident. The arrest occurred on May 11.

    The accused has since been released and is set to appear in court on July 11, 2018. According to RCMP, there are a number of conditions on his release.

    A family member of the victim reached out to comment on the victim's state of health.

    According to the family member, the victim has become quadriplegic due to the incident and has been put on life support as he is unable to eat or breathe on his own.
