The schedules for golf and cross country teams are set for the Heat teams at UBC Okanagan as well as the dates for the annual rugby Hindson Cup with action starting next month.
The men's and women's cross country teams have made the leap to the country's highest level of post-secondary athletics and will no longer be competing in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Starting this fall the Heat will vie for a Canada West championship and a national medal in Kingston, Ont. at Fort Henry Hill in the U SPORTS national championships hosted by Queen's University.

That race will close their season out on Nov. 10, 2018. As a warmup, the cross country team will run a series of exhibition races including the BC championships in Abbotsford on October 21 and the Vikes invitational on October 13.
Both the men's and the women's golf teams will remain in the CCAA for at least one more season as the men's team look to defend their national silver medal. The nationals for golf this year are in Medicine Hat, Alta. At the Desert Blume Golf Club. The 54-hole championship runs from Oct. 16-19 and is hosted by Medicine Hat College.

Both the men and the women will defend their provincial PACWEST silver medals in Nanaimo this October at the Nanaimo Golf Club. The championship will run for three days for the first time from October 5-7th. It will be hosted by the VIU Mariners.
The home tournament for the Heat is the second tournament of the PACWEST tour is set for the Okanagan Golf & Country Club. The two-day tournament is scheduled for September 15 and 16.
The season tees-off in Richmond at the Quilchena Golf & Country Club on Sept. 8. The third stop is at the Ledgeview Golf & Country Club in Abbotsford on September 29 and 30.
Rugby teams, both men's and women's, schedules are still in flux but the date to circle on your calendar the weekend of October 27-28. That will be the annual Hindson Cup and the second year of the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championship or Western national playoffs, which happens concurrently with the Hindson Cup.
