Two bike thieves have been caught on camera stealing bicycles.
On the morning of July 2, the Prince George RCMP received a report of two stolen bicycles from a motel on the 1500 block of Victoria Street.
Surveillance video has shown two masked males cutting the cable and stealing the bikes off of the back of a vehicle.
RCMP have been able to recover one of the stolen bikes, valued at $1,500.
The other bike is still at large and is described as a black and green mountain bike and is valued at $500.
Suspect one is described as:
- Male
- Wearing a hooded grey sweater with black sleeves, green pants, white runners and a ball cap.
Suspect two is described as:
- Male
- Wearing a hooded black sweater, bright blue hat, grey sweatpants and bright orange shoes.
“Bikes get stolen from everywhere in every community,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass, spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.
“Whether you are here in Prince George, visiting a small town or vacationing in a big city, always take extra precautions to secure your bicycles. They are extremely sought after by thieves.”
The use of 529 Garage to register, report and recover bikes is highly recommended.
